- Cover: publisher-style belly band across the lower book cover using a compressed banner (2.2MB screenshot -> 60KB WebP, resized to display needs), cropped via a width-locked <img> + percentage offset so the wordmark stays legible rather than getting zoomed/cropped sideways. Compass + wordmark compacted into a row to make room. - Copy: the theme woven through Field Notes, Contents, the Founding Sponsor tier, and one direct FAQ entry -- mostly oblique, since the cover already states it explicitly. Hero/Recipe/Capture/Footer left untouched on purpose.
📚 AIBook.fun
A living, crowd-written field guide to using AI agents responsibly at work.
AIBook.fun's unit of content isn't a chapter — it's a workflow you can actually run: a documented, tested recipe for getting a real job done with AI, guardrails included. It's written and kept current by the practitioners who use it, and it launches as an annual subscription, crowdfunded on Kickstarter.
Status: planning stage. This repository holds the product's planning documents. The product is not yet live, and everything here is a working draft — figures, dates, and commercial terms are planning assumptions, not commitments. Public launch is targeted for September 26, 2026.
The idea in one loop
The one thing the product must do well:
READ a workflow → RUN the Try-it (~15 min) → SHARE the result → (come back)
If readers run workflows and share results, the guide is alive. Everything else — community contribution, cohort learning, onboarding for AI agents — is a layer built on top of that loop.
Who it's for
Busy professionals — in real estate, financial advice, fractional executive roles, higher education, community leadership, and technology — who want to apply an AI workflow this week, not read AI theory.
What's in this repository
This is a documentation and planning repo. Three companion documents define the product:
| Document | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Product Requirements (PRD) | What we're building and why — scope, requirements, success metrics, open decisions |
| Product Specification (Spec) | The thinking behind it — vision, principles, content model, business model |
| Implementation Plan | How and when — the path from now to launch and fulfillment |
New here? Start with the Spec for the vision, then the PRD for the specifics.
How it works (the short version)
- Content: every entry follows one Workflow Recipe template — problem, method (showing the real tool output), safeguards, evidence, a ~15-minute Try-it, and costs. The template is the quality guarantee — the structural answer to "how do I know this AI advice isn't made up?"
- Editions: the guide refreshes annually — which is why it's a subscription. AI moves fast, and stale advice is worthless.
- Contribution: the first edition is written by a founding set of co-authors; open community contribution follows once the library is worth browsing.
- Responsible by design: the guardrails (data handling, human oversight, failure modes) are part of every workflow, not an appendix.
Project status & roadmap
| Stage | Focus |
|---|---|
| Now → launch | Seed the founding library, build the campaign, crowdfund the first edition |
| Post-launch | Fulfill the first edition; open community contribution |
| Later | Cohort learning, annual editions, deeper ecosystem integration |
