We Own AI — The New American Dream
Kickstarter Campaign Guide
Version 2.1. Updated Sunday 27 September 2026 (WAT) for Osinachi Patrick, Product Lead, BurnedOut Media / WeOwnNet.
Draft being updated: kickstarter.com/projects/weown/771866266 (private preview). Reference campaign: Onryō: First Seal by Lemery Games.
This version updates version 2 of Friday 25 September with the confirmed reward structure: three sections (The book; Build it yourself or with us; In person).
Part 1. Start here
1.1 What this document is
This guide takes our Kickstarter draft from where it stands today to a page that can be submitted for review and launched on Friday 2 October 2026. For each tab of the Kickstarter editor it gives the settings to use and the exact text to paste. It then lists the images to produce, a day-by-day launch checklist, and the decisions only the owner can make.
It draws on the owner-approved decisions of 23 September 2026 (ks-research/kickstarter-filled-form.md), the reward structure confirmed on 27 September 2026, GUIDE-436 (the AOP.biz How To Guide and Blueprint, for the bundle contents), the campaign blueprint, the AiBook.fun product plan, the draft preview, and the Onryō: First Seal page, our model for structure.
1.2 Decisions and actions needed this week
The draft is not ready to go live. It has no project image and no rewards, the FAQ is empty, the end date is a day earlier than the approved plan, and the story contains a sentence that has to come off the page. Kickstarter says manual review usually takes up to about three business days, so the draft must be submitted by Monday 28 September at the latest for a 2 October launch. The page can still be edited while it is in review.
Confirmed on 27 September
- Campaign: We Own AI — The New American Dream, Fri 2 Oct to Wed 4 Nov 2026, $5,000 all-or-nothing. The goal funds the book and the AiBook.fun library.
- Rewards in three sections: The book ($19, $25, $47 featured, $55 signed paperback; the Collector's Bundle becomes a paperback add-on); Build it yourself or with us (AOP.biz bundles at $1,000 DIY, $2,000 Launch, and $5,000 Growth); In person (the Burned Out Advisor Retreat, 4 to 6 November 2026, 369 seats).
- Early close: the $5,000 Growth bundle and the Retreat reward close on Tuesday 20 October 2026.
- Separate agreements: the $988 a month AOP.biz service, the $200 a month WeOwn Cloud hosting, and the cohort attendance commitment are separate, optional agreements made after the pledge. Kickstarter charges once, and none of them is part of a pledge.
- Academy held out of launch: the AiCoach + AOP.biz BootCamp is not a launch reward. It will be announced in a campaign update once dates and prices exist (Appendix E).
Decisions for the owner
| # | Decision | Our recommendation | Needed by |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | When the campaign ends | A fixed end date of Wed 4 Nov 2026 at 8:00 PM ET (Thu 5 Nov, 2:00 AM WAT). See section 2.1. | Before launch |
| 2 | Retreat price and venue | Set the price before the tier goes live; it is not in any source. The venue is pending: GUIDE-436 names TradeWinds Resort, St. Pete Beach, but the Kickstarter pack retired the "St. Pete" label. Confirm which to use. | Before the Retreat tier goes live |
| 3 | Whether the Retreat runs if the campaign misses its goal | Decide now and say it on the page. See section 2.1. | Before launch |
| 4 | Who delivers the AOP.biz bundles, and the $1,000 DIY details | Name the team member or collaborator who delivers the bundles (Kickstarter requires it). Confirm when the $200 a month WeOwn Cloud hosting starts and when the DIY instance is provisioned. | Before submitting |
| 5 | Seat and bundle limits | Confirm whether Growth-bundle Retreat seats count toward the 369, and set limits on the Retreat and Growth tiers so the total cannot pass 369. Set any capacity limits for the bundles. | Before those tiers go live |
| 6 | The signed paperback price | Set it once all costs are known, or add the paperback after launch. The Retreat tier also includes a signed paperback. | Before that tier goes live |
Actions and dates
| Action | Who | When |
|---|---|---|
| Start or confirm Stripe verification (Payment tab). It can take several business days and blocks launch. | Owner, with @GTM | Now (was due Fri 25 Sep) |
| Update Basics (title, subtitle, creator name, end date, image) and submit for review, even without every image | @LFG | At the latest Mon 28 Sep |
| Send two sample chapters to 10 to 20 early readers and ask for written permission to quote them | @THY and authors | Now (was due Sat 26 Sep) |
| Publish one complete sample workflow on aibook.fun | Osinachi, with authors | Sun 27 Sep |
| Go or no-go call: approval received, Stripe verified, rewards final, end date set | Owner and @LFG | Thu 1 Oct, 6:00 PM ET (11:00 PM WAT) |
| Press Launch (Kickstarter does not launch automatically) | Account holder | Fri 2 Oct, 6:00 AM ET (11:00 AM WAT) |
If approval or Stripe verification is missing at the go or no-go call, move the launch to Fri 9 Oct and the end date to Wed 11 Nov. The Retreat and the Growth bundle's Retreat seat then need a decision (section 2.1).
Other changes to the page
- Change the eBook delivery month from October 2026, which is before the campaign ends, to January 2027 (section 2.2).
- Use a plain title, subtitle, and creator name, with no emoji, the spelling "AI", and no "[BOOK]" tag (section 2.1).
- Rebuild the story as the sixteen sections in section 2.3, and remove the sentence calling the library "not an annual reprint and not a token".
- Show only proof we can stand behind: a free sample workflow, named authors with photos, and quotes from early readers who agreed in writing.
1.3 How to read this guide
Paste boxes (shaded, labeled "Paste into Kickstarter") hold final copy. Placeholders such as [TO FILL: description], highlighted yellow in Word, mark missing facts; each traces back to a decision in Part 4, and none may be visible at launch. Graphic notes are briefs for the designer and are not pasted.
Times are in US Eastern Time (ET), where most backers are, and West Africa Time (WAT). US clocks go back an hour on Sunday 1 November: until then ET is 5 hours behind WAT, and from then on it is 6 hours behind.
Kickstarter terms:
- All-or-nothing: backers are charged only if the goal is reached by the end date.
- Reward tier: a pledge level with a fixed price and reward.
- Add-on: an optional extra attached to a tier, such as a paperback added to a digital reward.
- Late pledges: backing on the project page after the campaign ends, at prices we set per tier.
- Pledge Manager: Kickstarter's post-campaign tool for surveying backers, collecting addresses and shipping, and taking extra orders.
- Pre-launch page: the public page before launch, with a "Notify me on launch" button.
Names used in this guide: AOP.biz is the Agent Operator Business program described in GUIDE-436. WeOwn Cloud is the infrastructure, provisioned and managed by agents built by WeOwnDev, that runs the $1,000 DIY bundle. The book rewards are never labeled "Cloud".
Part 2 covers the page tab by tab, Part 3 the assets and launch checklist, and Part 4 the open owner decisions. The appendices compare our page with Onryō's, explain the reasoning, and keep the Academy material for a later update.
Part 2. The campaign page, tab by tab
Kickstarter's editor has the tabs Basics, Rewards, Story, People, Payment, and Promotion; some accounts also show Funding and Preferences separately. Risks and Use of AI are filled in with the Story. The FAQ and Updates open once the project is live. Publishing projects have no Plan tab or Project Budget sheet. Every required tab must be complete before Submit for review.
2.1 Basics
Project title
The current title has two emoji, spells the word "Ai", and ends with a "[BOOK]" tag. Remove all three. People search with words, and the category already says it is a book. The project URL is generated from the title and afterwards only Kickstarter support can change it. "AI" is the spelling on the book; "Ai" belongs to AiBook.fun. A plain title also reads as a serious book to advisors.
Paste into Kickstarter (Project title, 34 of 60 characters)
We Own AI — The New American Dream
Creator name
The creator name appears beside the title everywhere, including search results. Remove the infinity emoji and use "WeOwnNet" or "BurnedOut Media / WeOwnNet". [TO FILL: choice of creator name]
Subtitle
The current subtitle, "A field book for professionals who want to own the AI era, not rent it", is a slogan. Replace it with a description of what the backer gets.
Paste into Kickstarter (Subtitle, 127 of 135 characters)
A field book for advisors and professionals: tested AI workflows, clear guardrails, and a companion library that stays current.
A shorter alternative (103 characters): "A multi-author field book for advisors, with tested AI workflows and a companion library at AiBook.fun."
Category and location
- Category: Publishing, subcategory Nonfiction (already set). Leave the optional second category empty.
- Location: North Denver, Denver, CO (already set). The funds must go to a person or company verified in a supported country, which here means a US entity. [TO FILL: US legal entity name and address for Stripe]
Project image
The image is the page hero, the search thumbnail, and the share preview, so it must read at small size. Export at 1920 × 1080 (16:9), JPG or PNG, under 50 MB.
Graphic note: The book mockup on a desk beside a laptop showing an AiBook.fun chapter page. One banner of six words or fewer, such as "The book and the AiBook.fun library", and three round icons: "Multi-author", "Tested workflows", "Library updated often". No prices or small print. Caption a rendered mockup "Cover mockup" in the story. [TO FILL: confirm the final cover]
Project video (optional)
Submit without it if it is not ready. @THY records and @LFG edits 2 to 3 minutes with captions, plus a 60 to 90 second vertical cut. No numbers that are not on the page, no testimonials without written consent, no talk of financial returns.
| Time | Beat | Suggested line |
|---|---|---|
| 0:00 | @THY to camera | "If you advise clients for a living, AI has already changed your week." |
| 0:15 | The problem | "The tools change every month, and the time to learn them comes out of your evenings." |
| 0:40 | The book: cover, pages, one workflow | "Each chapter walks through workflows you can run, with the safeguards written before the steps." |
| 1:10 | A Try-it on AiBook.fun, on screen | "This one takes about fifteen minutes. You'll see the output, the cost, and where a person checks it." |
| 1:30 | The three ways to back | "Start with the eBook and a year of the library, set up your own AI agents with an AOP.biz bundle, or join us in person at the Retreat." |
| 2:00 | Each author, with a name caption | Each author gives their name and one line about their work. |
| 2:15 | @THY to camera, aibook.fun on screen | "Our goal is five thousand dollars. If we don't reach it, no one is charged." |
Funding goal
$5,000 USD, all-or-nothing, entered in Basics or Funding depending on the editor version. It cannot be changed after launch.
Campaign end date
The preview says the project must reach its goal "by Tue, November 3 2026 11:59 PM CET". Kickstarter shows the viewer's time zone, and the preview was opened at UTC+1, so the deadline is Tuesday 3 November at 5:59 PM ET (11:59 PM WAT). That is almost a day short of the approved 33 days, 2 October to 4 November. The duration locks at launch.
| Option | Setting | Result | Drawback |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | Recommended. Fixed end: Wed 4 Nov, 8:00 PM ET (Thu 5 Nov, 2:00 AM WAT) | Ends on the planned day, in the US evening | If launch slips to 9 Oct, change the end to Wed 11 Nov by hand |
| B | 33 days | A 6:00 AM ET launch ends at about 5:00 AM ET on 4 Nov, because US clocks change on 1 Nov | Ends before most US backers are awake |
| C | Keep Tue 3 Nov, 5:59 PM ET | The team is free on 4 Nov, the Retreat's first day | About 32 days; does not match the plan |
Recommendation: Option A, ending at [TO FILL: end time; we suggest 8:00 PM ET]. Option C is the reasonable alternative if the owner wants the campaign closed before the Retreat opens.
The Retreat and the last day. The Burned Out Advisor Retreat runs 4 to 6 November, so it opens on the campaign's final day. Two rewards include a Retreat seat: the Retreat reward itself and the $5,000 Growth bundle. Kickstarter charges backers when the campaign ends and pays creators about 14 days later, around 18 November, so Retreat costs must be paid first. If the campaign misses $5,000, no Retreat or Growth backer is charged at all. The final-day posts should be scheduled in advance, with different people covering the campaign and the Retreat.
The 20 October cutoff (confirmed). The Retreat reward and the Growth bundle both close on Tuesday 20 October 2026, so the venue has a fixed list two weeks before the Retreat. In the editor, set each tier's availability to end on 20 October at [TO FILL: cutoff time; we suggest 11:59 PM ET, which is 4:59 AM WAT on Wed 21 Oct]. Message each Retreat and Growth backer within 48 hours of their pledge with a registration link, and say on the page whether the Retreat runs if the campaign does not fund. [TO FILL: Retreat rule if the campaign does not fund]
If launch slips to 9 October. The campaign would end on 11 November, after the Retreat, so Retreat and Growth backers would attend before anyone is charged. In that case, either remove the Retreat reward and sell seats directly, or keep it with the owner's explicit agreement to carry the risk. The Growth bundle's Retreat seat raises the same question. [TO FILL: slip plan for the Retreat reward and the Growth bundle]
Target launch date, late pledges, and URL
- Target launch date: Fri 2 Oct 2026. It only helps Kickstarter plan its review. Someone with account access must press Launch on the day.
- Late pledges: turn on before launch; they cannot be turned on after the campaign ends. Each tier then gets its own late pledge setting (section 2.2).
- Website: https://aibook.fun
- Project URL: generate it in Promotion after approval. The expected ending is we-own-ai-the-new-american-dream.
2.2 Rewards
How the rewards are organized
The rewards are grouped into three sections, confirmed by the owner on 27 September 2026:
- The book: the eBook, the signed paperback, and the AiBook.fun library. This section was called "Book & Library" in version 2; the tiers are unchanged.
- Build it yourself or with us: three AOP.biz bundles, from a $1,000 do-it-yourself pack on WeOwn Cloud to the $5,000 Growth bundle. Contents follow GUIDE-436.
- In person: the Burned Out Advisor Retreat, 4 to 6 November 2026.
That makes eight tiers plus add-ons:
The book
- Tier 1: Early Bird eBook, $19, first 200 backers only
- Tier 2: Digital Supporter, $25
- Tier 3: Digital Access Subscription, $47 (featured reward)
- Tier 4: Signed Paperback, $55 (placeholder price)
Build it yourself or with us
- Tier 5: AOP.biz DIY on WeOwn Cloud, $1,000
- Tier 6: AOP.biz Launch bundle, $2,000
- Tier 7: AOP.biz Growth bundle with a Retreat seat, $5,000 (closes Tue 20 Oct 2026)
In person
- Tier 8: Burned Out Advisor Retreat, [TO FILL: Retreat price (owner-pending)] (closes Tue 20 Oct 2026)
Add-ons: a signed paperback, the Collector's Bundle (a signed bookplate and a chapter-notes PDF, added to a paperback), and, if the owner wants it, a gift year of AiBook.fun.
Not in the launch rewards: the Academy (AiCoach + AOP.biz BootCamp in Orlando, North Denver, and Villa Park) will be announced in a campaign update once its dates and prices exist. Its draft tier, story section, and FAQ are kept in Appendix E. Marketing credits and developer hours, which appear in older Notion notes, are unconfirmed and are not part of any bundle.
Notes on the structure:
- Kickstarter's handbook suggests five tiers or fewer for a first project. Eight is allowed. If review pushes back, drop Digital Supporter first; the cost is that once the 200 Early Bird copies are gone, there is no eBook-only option until late pledges open.
- The $85 Collector's Bundle is a paperback add-on, not a tier. It differed from the paperback only by the bookplate and the chapter-notes PDF.
- The Retreat tier keeps its suggested inclusions: the seat, a signed paperback, the eBook, and 12 months of AiBook.fun. Because of the paperback, Retreat backers give a shipping address in the Pledge Manager.
- The Growth bundle and the Retreat reward close on Tuesday 20 October 2026. Kickstarter cannot share one quantity limit across two tiers, so if Growth seats count toward the 369, split the 369 between the two tiers. [TO FILL: whether Growth seats count toward the 369, and the limit on each tier]
What the pledge covers, and the separate agreements
Kickstarter charges each backer once, when the campaign ends. Nothing recurring can be part of a reward, and no reward requires a later payment. Three things are therefore offered after the campaign as separate, optional agreements between the backer and AOP.biz or WeOwn Cloud:
- WeOwn Cloud hosting, $200 a month, for DIY backers who want their instance to keep running on WeOwn Cloud. [TO FILL: when the $200 monthly hosting starts, and what happens to a DIY instance and its data if the backer does not sign up]
- AOP.biz service, $988 a month, for Launch and Growth backers who want to continue after the three included months (January to March 2027), from April 2027.
- The AOPbizFastTrack cohort commitment, for Launch and Growth backers: the December 2026 cohort asks each participant to attend at least 50% of weekly sessions. Backers agree to this when they register for the cohort after the campaign. [TO FILL: what happens if a backer does not meet the 50% attendance]
The reward descriptions and the FAQ say this in plain words, and no amount other than the pledge is charged through Kickstarter.
Items to create first
Create these items before the tiers, each with a 3:2 image exported at 1200 × 800:

- Chapter-notes PDF
- AOP.biz DIY pack on WeOwn Cloud
- AOP.biz Launch bundle
- AOP.biz Growth bundle

Delivery dates and shipping for all tiers
- eBook: January 2027. The form pack said October 2026, which is before the campaign ends. The production plan has final eBook files on Friday 15 January 2027. [TO FILL: eBook delivery month, if earlier than January 2027]
- Signed paperback: February 2027.
- AiBook.fun access: within about 14 days of a successful campaign, so by mid-November 2026.
- AOP.biz Launch and Growth: the AOPbizFastTrack cohort starts in December 2026 and the three months of AOP.biz service run from January to March 2027, so the estimated delivery is March 2027.

- Retreat: 4 to 6 November 2026; the tier's estimated delivery is February 2027, when its signed paperback arrives.

If shipping is charged at pledge time, end with "Shipping is added at checkout based on your country." instead.
Build it yourself or with us
The three bundles come from GUIDE-436. Each description states what is and is not included. Only the $5,000 Growth bundle includes a Retreat seat; the $2,000 Launch copy must never suggest otherwise. [TO FILL: name of the person or collaborator who delivers the AOP.biz bundles, for the page and the People tab]
Tier 5: AOP.biz DIY on WeOwn Cloud, $1,000
- The backer gets: the same pack as the Launch bundle, set up for the backer to run on their own: a starter agent fleet, docs and how-to guides, an agentic assistant that answers from the backer's own knowledge base, and a dedicated self-hosted instance where the backer owns the data, running on WeOwn Cloud
- Not included: implementation support or support of any kind, the three months of AOP.biz service, the December cohort, the $988 a month option, and a Retreat seat

It runs on WeOwn Cloud, infrastructure provisioned and managed by agents built by WeOwnDev. This reward includes no implementation support and no support of any kind. It does not include AOP.biz service, the December cohort, or a Retreat seat. WeOwn Cloud hosting continues at $200 a month under a separate, optional agreement made after the campaign. It is not part of your pledge, and Kickstarter does not charge it.
The hosting start date is not confirmed, so the description gives none. [TO FILL: when the $200 monthly hosting starts]
Tier 6: AOP.biz Launch bundle, $2,000
- The backer gets: onboarding, a starter agent fleet, a first implementation cycle, docs and how-to guides, an agentic brain and assistant that answers from the backer's own knowledge base, the self-hosted open core (the backer owns the data), and a dedicated instance; three months of AOP.biz service (January to March 2027); a seat in the December 2026 AOPbizFastTrack cohort
- Not included: a Retreat seat
- Quantity limit: [TO FILL: limit, if any, for example cohort capacity]

Firm and team orders
Onryō offers retailers wholesale pricing. Our equivalent is firms wanting several copies, seats, or bundles: the Shipping section and FAQ invite them to email us, and we handle them after the campaign. Publish no discount unless the owner sets one.
2.3 Story
How to build the story
Enter each section title as a Heading in the Story editor; Kickstarter turns headings into the page's table of contents, as on Onryō's page. Under each heading, insert the section's header graphic (1360 pixels wide), then paste the text. Keep the emoji in the section headings: they help people scan the contents list, and they are the only emoji on the page.
The story editor has no table tool, so everything is written as paragraphs and lists, and comparisons are shown as graphics. The sixteen sections follow Onryō's order, adapted to a book with three ways to back: the book, the AOP.biz bundles (build it yourself or with us), and the Retreat (in person).
Section 1: Welcome

👋 Welcome
We Own AI — The New American Dream is a field book for advisors who want to use AI in their practice in ways they control. It is written by [TO FILL: number] authors who use these methods in their own work, and published by BurnedOut Media / WeOwnNet.
Each chapter explains an approach to a kind of professional work and then walks through workflows you can run yourself, with the safeguards set out before the steps. The same workflows are online at AiBook.fun, where we keep them up to date as the tools change.
This campaign funds the first edition. You can back it in three ways, described below: the book, from the $19 eBook to a year of the AiBook.fun library at $47; an AOP.biz bundle to build your own AI setup yourself or with our team, from $1,000; or a seat at the Burned Out Advisor Retreat, 4 to 6 November 2026.
Our goal is $5,000, and it funds the book and the AiBook.fun library. Kickstarter is all-or-nothing: if we reach the goal by [TO FILL: end date and time, for example Wednesday 4 November 2026 at 8:00 PM ET], backers are charged and we deliver the rewards. If we do not reach it, nobody is charged.

❤️ Why this book
Advisors hear a great deal about AI. What most of them need is something they can use on Monday morning.
- Too much noise. Each week brings a new tool and a new prediction, and very little of it fits a real client file.
- Processes you don't control. When your process lives inside a vendor's product, a price change or a feature change can undo it.
- No time to learn. The job already takes up the evenings, and learning AI on top of it feels like a second job.
- Clients are changing. Firms and clients are changing how they work faster than most playbooks are updated.
We wrote this book to answer a practical question: what can an advisor set up this month, safely, and still control next year? Each workflow shows the actual steps, the actual output, what it cost, and where a person has to check the work.
Section 3: Who it's for
Graphic note: Two audience cards, "Accounting advisors: Exit to Client" and "Financial advisors: CKA® and CEPA® focus", with a smaller third card, "Other professionals who advise clients".
Paste into Kickstarter
🎯 Who it's for
We wrote this book mainly for two groups of readers.
Accounting advisors exploring Exit to Client. [TO FILL: one or two sentences defining Exit to Client as the authors use it.] The book shows how AI workflows can support that work while your client relationships stay with you.
Financial advisors focused on CKA® and CEPA® work. If your practice centers on values-based planning or on helping business owners plan an exit, the workflows cover the document-heavy, time-consuming parts of that work, with the checks a regulated practice needs.
It will also help other professionals who advise clients, such as fractional executives and consultants. [TO FILL: confirm the chapter subjects so this line matches the book.]
The book does not give regulated financial, legal, or tax advice, and it does not replace your own professional judgment.
CKA® and CEPA® are designations of their respective organizations. This project is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Keep the last sentence unless there is a real affiliation to name. [TO FILL: confirm no affiliation with the CKA® or CEPA® organizations]

📖 What's inside
The book is a set of chapter essays. Each chapter takes one area of professional work, explains how the authors approach it, and places complete workflows at the points in the argument where they belong.
Every workflow follows the same recipe:
- The problem: the real task it solves.
- Who runs it: a person, a role, or an AI agent working under a person's supervision.
- Setup: the tools, sample files, and expected cost.
- Safeguards: how to handle client data, where a person must review the work, and what can go wrong. These come before the steps, so you read them before you paste anything.
- The steps, with the actual output the tools produced.
- Evidence: what the result looked like when we ran it.
- Try it: a short exercise of about 15 minutes, using sample data.
- Costs, author, and sources.
Chapters: [TO FILL: final chapter list with the lead author of each]
Format: a [TO FILL: page count and trim size] paperback, and an eBook in PDF and Kindle formats.
Excerpt: [TO FILL: link to, or image of, a chapter excerpt]
The product plan's working chapter subjects are Real Estate, Financial Advisors, Fractional C-Suite, Higher Education, Communities, and Technology. Confirm which are in the first edition.
Section 5: Try one workflow
This is our version of Onryō's "How to play" and "Rulebook". The strongest proof we can offer before anyone reads the book is a workflow they can run, so publish one before launch.

🧪 Try one workflow
You can judge the book for yourself before you back it. Here is one complete workflow from the book, free to read and run: [TO FILL: public URL of the sample workflow on aibook.fun]
It takes about 15 minutes with the sample data provided. The rest of the book works the same way.

🧭 Three ways to back
The book. The eBook, the signed paperback, and the AiBook.fun library. Choose one:
- $19: Early Bird eBook (first 200 backers)
- $25: eBook and backer-only updates
- $47: eBook and 12 months of the AiBook.fun library
- $55: signed paperback and eBook
Library access starts within about 14 days of a successful campaign. The eBook arrives in January 2027 and the signed paperback in February 2027.
Build it yourself or with us. Three AOP.biz bundles for setting up AI agents that work from your own knowledge base, on an instance where you own the data:
- $1,000: DIY. The starter pack on WeOwn Cloud, to run yourself, with no support of any kind.
- $2,000: Launch. Onboarding, a starter agent fleet, and a first implementation cycle with our team, plus three months of AOP.biz service and the December 2026 AOPbizFastTrack cohort.
- $5,000: Growth. Everything in Launch, plus deeper integration, more agents, and ongoing support, and a seat at the Burned Out Advisor Retreat. Available until Tuesday 20 October 2026.
AOP.biz service at $988 a month and WeOwn Cloud hosting at $200 a month are separate, optional agreements after the campaign. Neither is part of a pledge, and Kickstarter charges your pledge only once.
In person. The Burned Out Advisor Retreat, three days with the authors and other advisors, 4 to 6 November 2026. Price: [TO FILL: Retreat price]. Includes your seat, a signed paperback, the eBook, and 12 months of AiBook.fun. 369 seats, available until Tuesday 20 October 2026.
Add-ons: a signed paperback for any reward that does not include one; the Collector's Bundle (a signed bookplate and a chapter-notes PDF) for a paperback; and a gift year of AiBook.fun for a colleague.
Before pasting, replace $55 with the final paperback price, and delete the gift add-on if it is not kept. The Academy is not a launch reward; it will be announced in a campaign update once dates and prices exist (Appendix E).

📚 The book and AiBook.fun
The book rewards are for people who want to learn Responsible Agentic AI from the book on their own schedule. They start with the eBook, and the $47 reward adds a year of the AiBook.fun library.
What AiBook.fun is. AiBook.fun is the online home of the book's workflows. You read a chapter, then run a workflow's Try-it exercise with sample data. Each workflow shows its version and the date it was last updated.
How it stays current. We update workflows as tools and models change, often weekly or monthly. Access costs $47 a year. Your Kickstarter pledge covers the first 12 months, starting within about 14 days of a successful campaign. After that you can choose to renew at aibook.fun.
Your data. We record when you open or complete a workflow so we can improve the library. We never collect the content of your client work, and the workflows use sample data only.
Section 8: Build it yourself or with us
Graphic note: A comparison table of the three bundles ($1,000 DIY, $2,000 Launch, $5,000 Growth): what each includes, which include AOP.biz service, the cohort, and a Retreat seat, when each closes, and the separate agreements after the pledge.

🛠️ Build it yourself or with us
The book shows how advisors can run AI workflows they control. AOP.biz, the Agent Operator Business program from WeOwnNet, sets that up in your own practice: AI agents that work from your own documents, on an instance where you own the data. There are three bundles.
$1,000: DIY on WeOwn Cloud. A starter agent fleet, docs and how-to guides, an agentic assistant that answers from your own knowledge base, and a dedicated self-hosted instance where you own the data. It runs on WeOwn Cloud, infrastructure provisioned and managed by agents built by WeOwnDev. You run it yourself: this bundle includes no implementation support and no support of any kind, no AOP.biz service, and no cohort seat.
$2,000: Launch. Onboarding, a starter agent fleet, a first implementation cycle, docs and how-to guides, an agentic brain and assistant that answers from your own knowledge base, the self-hosted open core where you own the data, and a dedicated instance. It includes three months of AOP.biz service (January to March 2027) and a seat in the December 2026 AOPbizFastTrack cohort. It does not include a Retreat seat.
$5,000: Growth. Everything in Launch, plus deeper integration, more agents working together, an ongoing support cadence, the SharedBrain layer, and a workflow and automation layer for tasks such as drafting proposals, intake, and status emails. It includes three months of AOP.biz service, a seat in the December 2026 cohort, and a seat at the Burned Out Advisor Retreat, 4 to 6 November 2026. The Growth bundle closes on Tuesday 20 October 2026.
What your pledge covers. Kickstarter charges you once, when the campaign ends. After the campaign we offer three separate, optional agreements, none of which is part of your pledge or charged by Kickstarter:
- WeOwn Cloud hosting, $200 a month, to keep a DIY instance running on WeOwn Cloud.
- AOP.biz service, $988 a month, to continue after the three included months, from April 2027 (Launch and Growth).
- The cohort commitment: the December 2026 AOPbizFastTrack cohort asks you to attend at least 50% of weekly sessions. You agree to this when you register for the cohort (Launch and Growth).

🏕️ In person: the Retreat
The Burned Out Advisor Retreat runs from 4 to 6 November 2026 at [TO FILL: venue name and city (pending)]. It is designed for accounting advisors interested in Exit to Client, whom we expect to be most of the room, and for financial advisors focused on CKA® and CEPA® work.
There are two ways to get a seat: the Retreat reward, which includes a signed paperback, the eBook, and 12 months of AiBook.fun, or the $5,000 AOP.biz Growth bundle.
Included: [TO FILL: sessions, workshops, meals, materials, and any one-to-one time], plus a signed paperback, the eBook, and 12 months of AiBook.fun access with the Retreat reward.
Not included: travel and lodging.
Agenda: [TO FILL: day-by-day outline, or the date it will be published]
Seats: 369 in total. Retreat pledges and the Growth bundle close on Tuesday 20 October 2026 so we can confirm numbers with the venue.
After you pledge:
- Within 48 hours we send you a Kickstarter message with a registration link for your name, contact details, and any dietary or accessibility needs.
- You receive a confirmation and joining instructions by [TO FILL: date].
- Your pledge is charged when the campaign ends on [TO FILL: end date], the day the Retreat opens.
If the campaign does not reach its goal: [TO FILL: either "the Retreat still takes place, and we will contact you about paying directly" or "your Retreat seat is cancelled and you are not charged"]
Changes, transfers, and refunds:
- If we have to change the dates or the venue, [TO FILL: policy, for example keep your seat for the new date, transfer it, or receive a refund of the Retreat portion].
- You can transfer your seat to a colleague [TO FILL: until what date, and any fee].
- If you cannot attend, [TO FILL: refund or credit policy and deadline].
- Continuing-education credit: [TO FILL: "not offered", or the approved credit and the body that issues it].
The venue is pending: GUIDE-436 names TradeWinds Resort, St. Pete Beach, Florida, but the Kickstarter pack retired the "St. Pete" label (Appendix C). Confirm before filling it in.

2.4 Risks and challenges
Kickstarter requires this section.
Paste into Kickstarter (Risks and challenges)
This is our first Kickstarter campaign. These are the risks we see and what we are doing about each one.
Printing and shipping costs. Paper, printing, and postage prices can change before February 2027. The February date includes spare time, and digital rewards arrive first. If a printer or carrier delay comes up, we will post the new date that week.
Writing and editing with several authors. Coordinating [TO FILL: number] authors can slow a chapter down. Our founding writers are under contract with fixed deadlines, and the production plan finishes layout in January 2027, leaving time before the February delivery.
The Retreat takes place as the campaign ends. The Retreat runs from 4 to 6 November, and the campaign ends on [TO FILL: end date]. Kickstarter charges backers when the campaign ends and pays creators about two weeks later, so we pay Retreat costs in advance. The Retreat reward and the $5,000 Growth bundle, which includes a Retreat seat, close on Tuesday 20 October 2026 so we can confirm numbers with the venue. If events outside our control force a change of date or venue, the terms in the Retreat section apply.
AOP.biz bundles are delivered over several months. The Launch and Growth bundles include the December 2026 cohort and three months of AOP.biz service (January to March 2027), and the DIY bundle depends on WeOwn Cloud being provisioned. If a date moves, we will post it in an update and message the backers affected. Monthly service after March 2027 and WeOwn Cloud hosting are separate, optional agreements made after the campaign, so no backer is charged for them through Kickstarter.
The online library. AiBook.fun access depends on our own platform. We will issue access within about 14 days of a successful campaign. If a technical problem delays it, we will tell you in an update and extend your 12 months by the length of the delay.
Fast-changing AI tools. Some workflows will need updating soon after publication. This is why the library exists: we update workflows as tools and models change, and each one shows the date it was last checked.
Team time. One small team runs the campaign, the Retreat, the bundles, and the book, so the work is divided among named people and the final days are scheduled in advance.
Refunds. [TO FILL: refund policy]
We will post an update at least [TO FILL: how often; we suggest monthly] until every reward has been delivered.
Confirm this is the team's first campaign. A possible refund structure, for the owner to decide: full refunds within a set number of days after the campaign, none for digital rewards once access is issued, Retreat refunds per the Retreat section, and bundle refunds before the cohort or instance is delivered. [TO FILL: refund terms for the AOP.biz bundles]
2.5 Use of AI
Kickstarter asks about AI use at submission and shows a public "Use of AI" section. AI used as a tool with clear human authorship is allowed; heavy AI use with little human involvement is not. Suggested answers to the submission questions:
| Question | Suggested answer |
|---|---|
| Does the project use AI to generate content? | Yes, as an assistant for research, outlining, and editing suggestions. The workflows show real AI tool output, which is the subject of the book. |
| Are you developing AI technology? | The book documents how to use existing AI tools. The AOP.biz bundles set up AI agents and assistants for backers on their own instance, built by WeOwnDev. [TO FILL: confirm the answer to this question given the bundles, and that AiBook.fun and AOP.biz do not train their own models] |
| Which tools? | [TO FILL: the main assistants and models the authors and workflows use] |
| What is original human work? | The chapter essays, the choice and testing of every workflow, the safeguards, the final text, and every factual claim. |
| Consent from the owners of works used to train or produce the AI portion | We do not train models. Workflow examples use sample data that we created or have permission to use. |
| AI-generated images? | [TO FILL: yes or no; if yes, label those images as mockups on the page] |
Paste into Kickstarter (Use of AI)
We use AI tools in four ways, and people remain responsible for all of it.
- Writing support. Authors use AI assistants for research, outlines, and editing suggestions. Every chapter is written, edited, and fact-checked by the named authors.
- Workflow examples. The book teaches AI workflows, so many pages show real output from AI tools. Each example names the tool used and was run and checked by its author.
- AOP.biz bundles. The bundles set up AI agents and an assistant for each backer, on an instance the backer owns, working from the backer's own documents. [TO FILL: confirm this wording with the AOP.biz bundles lead]
- Campaign images. [TO FILL: "Our campaign graphics were made by our designer." or "Some campaign graphics and mockups were made with AI image tools and are labeled as mockups."]
We do not train AI models, and we do not use client data in any example.
2.6 Environmental commitments (optional)
This section is aimed mainly at Design and Technology projects; Onryō shows three commitments. If the editor offers it, include only statements that are true, or leave it empty.
- Sustainable distribution: "Digital rewards are our default, and most backers need nothing shipped." True for the recommended tiers: only the signed paperback, the Retreat reward, and the paperback add-ons ship.
- Reusability and recyclability: "We size the print run to paperback pledges plus a small reserve." Only once the print approach is confirmed. [TO FILL: short print run or print-on-demand]
- Sustainable materials: "Paperbacks are printed on recycled or certified paper and shipped in recyclable mailers." Only if the printer offers it. [TO FILL: paper and mailers]

2.8 Funding and payment
Goal and fees
- Goal: $5,000 USD, all-or-nothing. It is locked once the campaign launches.
- Fees in the US: Kickstarter takes 5% of the total raised, and payment processing costs 3% plus $0.30 per pledge (pledges under $10 are charged 5% plus $0.08). There are no fees if the campaign does not reach its goal. At exactly $5,000 from 100 pledges, about $4,570 would arrive before any other costs.
- Stretch goals live in the story; there is no field for them.
- Budget: the goal funds the book and the AiBook.fun library, and the Welcome section says so. The figures in the AiBook.fun product plan are internal and must not be published. If the owner wants a breakdown, add this line to the FAQ:
Paste into Kickstarter (optional; after filling)
The $5,000 goal funds the book and the AiBook.fun library: [TO FILL: optional breakdown, for example editing, layout, cover design, the first print run, and AiBook.fun hosting for backers]. Anything above the goal funds the stretch goals and more workflows in the library.
Stripe verification checklist (owner only)
This blocks launch. Start it today, because verification can take several business days.
- Raise funds as a business or an individual (hard to change later). [TO FILL: business or individual]
- US legal entity name, address, and EIN exactly as on tax documents.
- A representative who is an owner or executive running the project, with government ID.
- Every beneficial owner with 25% or more.
- The website (https://aibook.fun) or a short product description.
- A US checking account in the same legal name (no savings or virtual accounts).
- A backup Visa, Mastercard, or American Express card (not Discover).
- Stripe showing as verified in the editor.
Nigeria is not a supported creator country, so the US entity and a US-based representative must complete this.
2.9 Shipping
Recommendation: collect shipping after the campaign through Kickstarter's Pledge Manager.
The form pack suggested charging shipping at pledge time once rates exist, but no print or shipping quotes have come in, and nothing physical ships until February 2027. The Pledge Manager lets the paperback go live without guessed rates, and it is how Onryō handles shipping and taxes. Check its current fees in the editor first. Charging at pledge time instead needs countries and rates for every physical tier and add-on before launch. Either way, the paperback price must be final before that tier goes live. [TO FILL: Pledge Manager after the campaign, or rates at pledge time]
2.10 FAQ
The FAQ usually opens only once the project is live. Add these in the first hour, one question and answer per entry, and keep adding questions from the comments.
Paste into Kickstarter (FAQ, twenty-two entries)
When will I get my rewards? AiBook.fun access within about 14 days of a successful campaign, the eBook in January 2027, and signed paperbacks in February 2027. The Retreat runs from 4 to 6 November 2026. For the Launch and Growth bundles, the AOPbizFastTrack cohort starts in December 2026 and AOP.biz service runs from January to March 2027. DIY instances are provisioned on WeOwn Cloud in [TO FILL: month].
What happens if the campaign doesn't reach $5,000? Nobody is charged. Kickstarter collects pledges only if the goal is reached by [TO FILL: end date and time].
When is my card charged? When the campaign ends, on [TO FILL: end date]. If your card is declined, Kickstarter will ask you to update it.
What is the Digital Access Subscription, and what happens after 12 months? It is the eBook plus 12 months of access to the AiBook.fun library, which holds the book's workflows and new ones as we publish them, updated as tools change, often weekly or monthly. After 12 months you can renew at aibook.fun for $47 a year. Your pledge does not renew by itself.
How is AiBook.fun different from the book? The book is the fixed first edition. AiBook.fun holds the same workflows online and keeps them current, each with a version number and a "last updated" date.
Is the book useful if I'm not an accountant or financial advisor? Yes, if you advise clients. The main examples come from accounting and financial practices, and other chapters cover [TO FILL: other chapter subjects].
Do I need technical skills? Not for the book. Each workflow lists its tools and setup, and the Try-it uses sample data. If you can follow a checklist, you can run it. The $1,000 DIY bundle comes with no support, so choose Launch or Growth if you want our team to set things up with you.
What is the difference between the three AOP.biz bundles? DIY ($1,000) is the starter pack on WeOwn Cloud that you run yourself, with no support of any kind. Launch ($2,000) adds onboarding, a first implementation cycle, three months of AOP.biz service, and a seat in the December 2026 cohort. Growth ($5,000) adds deeper integration, more agents, an ongoing support cadence, the SharedBrain layer, a workflow and automation layer, and a seat at the Burned Out Advisor Retreat.
Does the $2,000 Launch bundle include a Retreat seat? No. A Retreat seat comes only with the $5,000 Growth bundle or the Retreat reward.
Why do the Growth bundle and the Retreat close on 20 October? Both include a seat at the Retreat, which starts on 4 November. Closing them on Tuesday 20 October 2026 gives us two weeks to confirm numbers with the venue and send joining instructions. The other rewards stay open until the campaign ends.
Will I be charged anything after my pledge? Not through Kickstarter, which charges your pledge once when the campaign ends. After the campaign we offer separate, optional agreements: WeOwn Cloud hosting at $200 a month for DIY instances, and AOP.biz service at $988 a month from April 2027 for Launch and Growth backers who want to continue after the three included months. You decide on each one after the campaign, and none of them is part of your pledge.
What does the AOPbizFastTrack cohort ask of me? The December 2026 cohort, included with Launch and Growth, asks each participant to attend at least 50% of weekly sessions. You agree to this separately when you register for the cohort after the campaign. It is not a condition of your pledge.
Where is the Retreat, and are travel and lodging included? The venue is [TO FILL: venue and city (pending)]. Travel and lodging are not included.
Can I transfer my Retreat seat, and what if a date changes? [TO FILL: transfer and date-change policy]
Does the Retreat count for continuing-education credit? [TO FILL: "No", or the approved credit and the body that issues it]
Do you ship internationally? We ship to [TO FILL: list of countries]. Shipping and any taxes are calculated after the campaign in Kickstarter's Pledge Manager.
Can I add a paperback to my reward? Yes. Choose the signed paperback add-on when you pledge, or add it later in the Pledge Manager. The Retreat reward already includes one.
Can my firm buy several copies, seats, or bundles? Yes. Email [TO FILL: contact email] and we will arrange it after the campaign.
Is the book available in other languages? The first edition is in English only.
Did you use AI to write the book? The authors use AI assistants for research and editing suggestions, and the workflows show real AI tool output, which is the subject of the book. Every chapter is written, checked, and approved by its named authors. See the Use of AI section.
Can I get a refund? [TO FILL: refund policy, matching the Risks section]
I missed the campaign. Can I still back it? Yes, for the rewards that have late pledges turned on. Late pledges stay open on this page after the campaign ends, at slightly higher prices, for as long as we keep them open. The Retreat and the Growth bundle close on 20 October.
Who delivers the AOP.biz bundles? [TO FILL: name and role of the person or collaborator who delivers AOP.biz]

We Own AI — The New American Dream is a field book for advisors who want to use AI in their practice in ways they control. Each chapter walks through workflows you can run, with the safeguards set out before the steps, and the same workflows stay current online at AiBook.fun.
We launch on Friday 2 October. You can back the project in three ways: the book, including the eBook with a year of the AiBook.fun library; an AOP.biz bundle to set up AI agents in your own practice, yourself or with our team; or a seat at the Burned Out Advisor Retreat (4 to 6 November). The first 200 backers get the eBook for $19.
Click Notify me on launch and Kickstarter will email you when we go live.
"Notify me on launch" messages (Mon 28 Sep to Thu 1 Oct)
Share the pre-launch link everywhere until launch. These are for LinkedIn and email, not Kickstarter. For direct messages to close contacts, use two sentences: who you are, and a request to click "Notify me".

3.2 Day-by-day checklist
Friday 25 September
- Check whether the draft has been submitted. If not, update Basics and submit.
- Owner decisions from section 1.2: end date, Retreat price, venue, and rules, bundle delivery details, and seat limits.
- Start or confirm Stripe verification (section 2.8).
- Basics: title, subtitle, creator name, end date, target launch date of 2 October, late pledges on, project image (interim is fine).
- Paste the Story, Risks, and Use of AI text. Remove the "not an annual reprint and not a token" sentence and everything on the scrub list (Appendix C).
Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September
- Create the items, eight tiers, and add-ons. Set the Retreat and Growth tiers to close on Tue 20 Oct. If the paperback price is not final, leave the paperback out; rewards can be added after launch.
- Collect author headshots and bios. Send sample chapters to early readers.
- Publish the sample workflow on aibook.fun.
- Produce the section headers and the timeline, shipping, AiBook.fun, and bundle comparison graphics.
- Publish any of the first three pre-launch posts (announcement, cover, who it's for) that have not gone out.
Monday 28 September
- Last safe day to submit for review.
- Pre-launch post 5, "Why Kickstarter". Owner confirms the shipping choice. Record the hero video if @THY is available.
Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September
- Answer any review questions the same day.
- After approval: generate the URL, turn on the pre-launch page, and start the "Notify me" messages (section 2.11).

Thursday 1 October
- Pre-launch post 6, "Tomorrow". Test every link, image, and video on the preview.
- Check the end date and time, prices, quantity limits, the 20 October cutoff on the Retreat and Growth tiers, late pledge settings, delivery months, and shipping. Have the FAQ and Update 1 ready.
- Go or no-go at 6:00 PM ET (11:00 PM WAT). If approval or Stripe is missing, move the launch to Friday 9 October, change the end date to Wednesday 11 November, and decide about the Retreat tier and the Growth bundle (section 2.1).

Part 4. Owner decisions
Every placeholder in this guide traces back to one of these decisions. Blocks submission and Blocks launch items stop the campaign; Blocks tier items stop only that reward. Settled on 27 September and no longer open: the three reward sections and their tiers, the 20 October cutoff for the Retreat and the Growth bundle, the separate agreements after the pledge, travel and lodging not included for the Retreat, the Retreat's inclusions (seat, signed paperback, eBook, 12 months of AiBook.fun), the Collector's Bundle as an add-on, and the Academy held out of launch.
A. Calendar and campaign rules
- Blocks launch. End date and time: fixed Wed 4 Nov, 8:00 PM ET (recommended); 33 days; or keep Tue 3 Nov.
- Blocks submission. Confirm the draft has been submitted for review.
- Who presses Launch on Fri 2 Oct at 6:00 AM ET (11:00 AM WAT).
- Blocks launch. If the campaign does not fund, does the Retreat still run with direct payment, or are those seats cancelled?
- The time of day for the 20 October cutoff (suggested 11:59 PM ET).
- If launch slips to 9 Oct: keep the Retreat tier and the Growth bundle, or sell Retreat seats outside Kickstarter.
- Refund policy (Risks section and FAQ), including the AOP.biz bundles.
- Update frequency after the campaign (suggested monthly).
- Confirm this is the team's first Kickstarter campaign.
B. Retreat
- Blocks tier. Retreat price (owner-pending; not in any source).
- Blocks tier. Venue name, city, and photo. GUIDE-436 names TradeWinds Resort, St. Pete Beach, Florida; the Kickstarter pack retired the "St. Pete" label. Confirm which applies.
- Whether Growth-bundle Retreat seats count toward the 369, and the quantity limit on each of the two tiers.
- Inclusions (sessions, meals, materials), agenda (or its publication date), and the date joining instructions go out.
- Date-change, transfer, and refund terms.
- Continuing-education credit: none, or the approved credit and its issuing body.
C. AOP.biz bundles (Build it yourself or with us)
- Blocks submission. Who delivers the bundles: the named person or collaborator, for the story, the FAQ, and the People tab.
- Blocks tier. When the $200 a month WeOwn Cloud hosting starts for DIY backers, and what happens to a DIY instance and its data if the backer does not sign up.
- Blocks tier. The month DIY instances are provisioned (the tier's estimated delivery).
- Quantity limits for each bundle, if capacity or the cohort size requires them.
- What happens if a Launch or Growth backer does not meet the cohort's 50% weekly attendance.
- Whether the bundles also include the eBook or a year of AiBook.fun (they do not at present).
- Late pledges for DIY (on or off, and price); Launch is off by recommendation, and Growth is off because it closes on 20 October.
- Bundle refund terms, and the wording for the Use of AI answer given that the bundles set up AI agents.
D. Book tiers and add-ons
- Blocks tier. Final paperback price, late pledge price, and any print-run limit; or launch without the paperback. The Retreat tier also includes a signed paperback.
- Collector's Bundle add-on price, limit, and which authors sign.
- Signed paperback add-on price.
- Keep the $47 gift add-on: yes or no.
- eBook delivery month, if earlier than January 2027.
- Renewal after 12 months (assumed: the backer renews at aibook.fun; the pledge does not renew).
- Early Bird backers get the bonus chapter (recommended yes); audiobook sample narrator.
E. Shipping and contact
- Shipping in the Pledge Manager after the campaign (recommended) or at pledge time.
- Countries, rates if charged at pledge, and where books ship from.
- Contact email for firm orders and backer support.
F. Story content
- Blocks submission. Final cover, for the project image.
- Number of authors; each author's name, role, bio, and headshot.
- Full names for @THY, @LFG, @CEO, and @GTM, and the AOP.biz bundles lead; approval to list Osinachi Patrick.
- A one- or two-sentence definition of Exit to Client.
- Chapter list with lead authors, page count, trim size, and an excerpt.
- URL of the public sample workflow.
- Early-reader quotes with written permission; names for Special thanks.
- Confirm no affiliation with the CKA® or CEPA® organizations.
- An optional breakdown of how the $5,000 funds the book and the AiBook.fun library.
- Months spent writing (for the LinkedIn post).
- Give-back section: yes or no, and the organization.
G. Use of AI and environment
- AI tools used, and confirmation that AiBook.fun and AOP.biz train or ship no model of their own.
- Whether any campaign images used AI image tools.
- Environmental commitments (print approach, paper, mailers), or leave the section empty.
H. Profile, payment, and promotion
- Creator name: "WeOwnNet" or "BurnedOut Media / WeOwnNet".
- Blocks launch. Stripe verification: business or individual, US entity details and EIN, representative ID, beneficial owners, US checking account, backup card.
- Profile social links; collaborators' Kickstarter emails.
- Ad budget for 9 to 15 October, or $0; Kickbooster live or not.
- Hero video recorded by Mon 28 Sep, or added after launch.
I. Academy (for a later campaign update)
- The Academy decisions are listed in Appendix E. None of them blocks launch.
Appendix A. How our page compares with Onryō
Onryō: First Seal (Lemery Games, Sarasota, Florida) is a Tabletop Games "Project We Love" with the same $5,000 goal as ours. It runs from 14 September to 8 October 2026, and on 25 September showed about $33,300 from about 2,370 backers, 20 FAQ entries, 3 updates, and 111 comments.
Its page leads with images: each section has an illustrated header and short text, and the proof is five reviewer videos and quotes from past backers. Our draft is text only, with no image, video, or rewards and an empty FAQ. We cannot copy Onryō's social proof, since this is our first campaign. We can copy its structure: a section for each question a backer has, a header graphic for each, a timeline, a plain shipping explanation, a real team section, stretch goals, and an FAQ that answers hard questions early.
| Onryō section | Our version |
|---|---|
| Welcome; Why love it?; The story | Sections 1 and 2: Welcome and Why this book |
| Japanese folklore (background) | Section 3: Who it's for |
| What's in the box? | Section 4: What's inside, with a workflow diagram |
| How to play?; Rulebook | Section 5: Try one workflow, a free public sample |
| Pay what you want guide | Section 6: Three ways to back, as one graphic |
| No equivalent | Sections 7 to 9: the book and AiBook.fun; Build it yourself or with us (AOP.biz bundles); In person (the Retreat) |
| Stretch goals; Timeline; Shipping | Sections 10 to 12 |
| Previews; Backer reviews | Section 13: Early readers, with written permission |
| Team; Special thanks | Sections 14 and 15 |
| Give back; Languages; Free shipping | Left out for launch |
| One pay-what-you-want reward from $1, with add-ons | Eight fixed-price tiers in three sections, with add-ons |
Appendix B. The reasoning behind the main recommendations
Why we do not copy Onryō's pay-what-you-want model. It suits one physical game sold to a large board-game audience that already backs campaigns. For us, a $1 entry point would set a public reference far below the approved $47 AiBook.fun price; Retreat seats and AOP.biz bundles have a real cost per backer; and our audience, mostly new to Kickstarter, acts more easily on clear prices. "Pledge without a reward" already accepts any amount. The idea worth borrowing is Onryō's single explainer graphic.
Why submit by Monday 28 September. Kickstarter's help center says manual review usually takes up to about three business days, longer if changes are requested. The earlier plan assumed five to seven, which meant submitting by 23 September. On three days, Monday 28 September is the last safe day, and the page stays editable in review.
Other recommendations. The reasoning for the eight tiers, the fixed end date, the January eBook date, and the Pledge Manager is given where each is recommended, in sections 2.1, 2.2, and 2.9.
Kickstarter rules that affect our rewards.
- Rewards must be produced or delivered by the creator or collaborators, so the page must say who runs the Retreat and who delivers the AOP.biz bundles. The Academy stays off the page until its delivery, dates, and prices are set (Appendix E).
- Kickstarter charges a backer once, when the campaign ends. A reward cannot include a recurring charge, so the $988 a month AOP.biz service, the $200 a month WeOwn Cloud hosting, and the cohort attendance commitment are separate, optional agreements made after the campaign. The reward descriptions say so, and no reward depends on them.
- The AOP.biz bundles must not promise income or business results. Describe what is delivered, not what a backer might earn.
- Rewards cannot offer financial returns, equity, raffles, or cryptocurrency, and the page must not suggest them (Appendix C).
- CKA® (Certified Kingdom Advisor) and CEPA® (Certified Exit Planning Advisor) belong to their issuing organizations. Do not imply their endorsement, or claim continuing-education credit unless it has been approved.
- A tier's price cannot change once someone backs it, so no tier goes live with a placeholder price.
Honest proof. With no past campaigns or reviews, and no invented testimonials or statistics, our proof is a free workflow anyone can run, named authors with photos, and early-reader quotes approved in writing.
Appendix C. Public copy scrub list
Search the story, rewards, FAQ, updates, video captions, and images for the following before submitting. None of them may appear on the public page, including in negative form.
| Remove | Use instead |
|---|---|
| NFT, token, mint, Web3, crypto, blockchain, wallet | "Digital Access Subscription" or "12 months of AiBook.fun access" |
| Equity, investment, returns, stake, shares (in the financial sense), ROI | A plain description of the reward |
| "Annual reprint" or "annual edition" for the library | "Updated as tools and models change, often weekly or monthly; $47 a year" |
| "Ai" in the book title | "AI" (the "Ai" spelling is only for AiBook.fun) |
| Raffle, giveaway, prize, contest | Not used |
| Past retreat names ("Colorado Summer", "St. Pete") | "Burned Out Advisor Retreat, 4 to 6 November 2026". GUIDE-436 names TradeWinds Resort, St. Pete Beach, as the venue; keep it off the page until the owner confirms the venue. |
| Unapproved prices, or "TBD" | A real price, or leave the tier out until it has one |
| Slogans such as "own it, not rent it" or "own the AI era — not rent it", and "not X, but Y" framing | A plain description of what the backer gets |
| Negative disclaimers such as "not a token, not equity", "No tokens. No equity.", or "not a crypto pitch" | Leave them out; describe the reward plainly |
| "Cloud" for the book rewards | "The book". WeOwn Cloud is only the infrastructure for the $1,000 DIY bundle |
| Income, earnings, or revenue claims for the AOP.biz bundles | What the bundle delivers |
| Marketing credits or developer hours in a bundle | Not offered (unconfirmed) |
| "Aibook", "AIBook", or "AiBook" without ".fun" for the library | "AiBook.fun"; the domain is aibook.fun |
The current draft's book section says the library is "billed as a yearly digital access subscription — not an annual reprint and not a token." Replace the whole section with the "The book and AiBook.fun" text in section 2.3.
Appendix D. What changed
Version 2.1 (27 September 2026)
- Rewards: three sections replace the Retreat, Academy, and Book & Library buckets: The book (the four Book & Library tiers, unchanged); Build it yourself or with us (AOP.biz DIY $1,000, Launch $2,000, Growth $5,000, from GUIDE-436); In person (the Retreat). Eight tiers in total. The $85 Collector's Bundle is a paperback add-on.
- Retreat: closes on Tue 20 Oct 2026 together with the Growth bundle; the seat, a signed paperback, the eBook, and 12 months of AiBook.fun are included; travel and lodging are not; the price and venue remain pending.
- Separate agreements: the $988 a month service, the $200 a month hosting, and the cohort attendance are explained in section 2.2, the story, and the FAQ as optional agreements after the pledge.
- Academy: removed from the launch rewards, story, FAQ, risks, timeline, and updates; kept in Appendix E for a campaign update.
- Story: Welcome now says the goal funds the book and the AiBook.fun library; sections 7 to 9 are The book and AiBook.fun, Build it yourself or with us, and In person: the Retreat; the timeline adds the 20 October cutoff, the December cohort, and the January to March service.
- Owner decisions: regrouped into 53 items, with a new group for the bundles.
Version 2 (25 September 2026), compared with version 1
- Structure: the guide opens with this week's decisions, follows the editor tab by tab, and moves the Onryō comparison and reasoning to appendices. It is about 13 percent shorter than version 1.
- Format: each reward is a card, the "Three ways to back" summary lists one price per line, and the 63 owner items are merged into 51 grouped items with blocking items marked.
- Corrections: the story editor has no table tool, so the story's tables are now lists; the alternative subtitle is 103 characters, not 102; Onryō's section list now includes "The story", and its figures are updated to 25 September.
Appendix E. Planned for a campaign update: the Academy
The AiCoach + AOP.biz BootCamp (the Academy) is not a launch reward. It will be announced in a campaign update once dates and prices exist. The drafts below keep the earlier Academy material so it is ready when that happens. Before posting, check that the campaign is still live (a new reward can be added during the campaign) or use late pledges or the Pledge Manager after it ends.
Decisions needed before the Academy update
- Confirm our team or a named collaborator delivers the BootCamp; otherwise leave the Academy off Kickstarter.
- Academy price, cohort dates, and seats for each site.
- One Academy tier with site choice in the survey (only if the price is the same at every site), or three site tiers.
- BootCamp description, format, hours, inclusions, and the Academy lead's name.
- Academy late pledges (on or off, price) and estimated delivery month.
- Travel and lodging, and date-change, transfer, and refund terms.
- Continuing-education credit: none, or the approved credit and its issuing body.

Draft FAQ entries for the Academy
Paste into Kickstarter (FAQ, when the Academy is announced)

Does the Academy count for continuing-education credit? [TO FILL: "No", or the approved credit and the body that issues it]
Draft risk paragraph for the Academy
Paste into Kickstarter (add to Risks and challenges when the Academy is announced)
Academy cohorts in three cities. Running cohorts at three sites adds scheduling risk. Seats are limited at each site, and if a site cannot run, you can move to another site or receive a refund of the Academy portion.
When the Academy is announced, also add it to the timeline (cohort dates), the "Three ways to back" graphic (or a fourth column), the team list (Academy BootCamp lead), and the items list (one Academy seat item per site).
